“It is proposed that a form of free dialogue may well be one of the most effective ways of investigating the crisis which faces society, and indeed the whole of human nature and consciousness today. Moreover, it may turn out that such a form of free exchange of ideas and information is of fundamental relevance for transforming culture and freeing it of destructive misinformation, so that creativity can be liberated."

—David Bohm, On Dialogue

For nearly three years, and since the earliest days of COVID-19, the Deep Fix community has gathered to dialogue on a variety of topics that matter. The group originally formed to provide a space to process the existential changes our society is facing, from pandemics to the revolution in consciousness around racism. Today we tackle all sorts of topics related to sense-making and individual and collective wellbeing.

We have a heartfelt group of writers, artists, entrepreneurs, tenured professors, activists, healers, therapists, yogis, and individuals in recovery. We all share an earnest desire to build on top of each other’s ideas and practice the art of dialogos—rather than merely “debate” ideas. We also aspire to provide a brave rather than just “safe” space.

The Deep Fix community is comprised of a few key components:

  • A Discord server that serves as a digital campfire.

  • Semi-regular dialogue groups that meet over Zoom on a variety of topics including existential risk, activism, psychology, racism, systemic inequality, death, flow, psychedelics, localism, community, and much more.

  • Virtual book clubs.

  • In-person meetups in major cities.

The Dx Directory

Deep Fix community members also receive access to the Deep Fix Directory—a vetted, members-only directory of therapists, coaches, counselors, guides, retreat centers, and more. This expert list of resources was designed to streamline the number of inbound requests for referrals I receive. And because there’s nothing more important than trust and transparency when it comes to helping people build their lives around a strong therapeutic foundation.

If you’d like to join the community, please visit Deep Fix via the Substack below and select a membership. Regular community updates are provided there, and you can join for $6/month, which is essentially the cost of a latte these days. You’ll also be supporting me and my work, for which I’ll be eternally grateful.
